The Building Over The Years
The building was the home of "Brown's Western Store" for many years. In the year 2000, it was purchased by Harvey & June Fender of Groveland Fl. The Fender's opened the place as "Cowboy Country Restaurant" After a few years, they sold the property to Ferris & Peggy Waller of Plant City. It was then opened in February 2003 as "The Hayseed Cafe."
BROWN'S WESTERN STORE
The building was built by T. Noble Brown, I am not sure of the time but I think in the 60's or 70's. If anyone has information as to when it was built please contact us. The photo attached is a mural that was done by "John Beckett" a local artist. It was on the front of a counter in the store. The painting is still in the Hayseed Cafe. Any info. on John Beckett would be appreciated.
